Tommy sporting some Nance family Halloween jammies....these were Kaitlyn's, then Kimberlyn's....and yes....now Tommy's jammies! Tommy loves his train table...this is his favorite way to play --to sit on it and drive his cars/trains.
Then we have him being quite the helper boy- after unloading the bookshelf, he cleaned up very well as you see him here in the process of putting the books BACK :)

My favorite shot from our lunch date with good friends in Cincy...Casey and Tommy are just a few months apart in age and have been pals since before they could sit alone :)
Later that night at the school....Robby by his project at the Science Fair. He got an overall Excellent rating. We're so proud!
Kaitlyn and her project. She got an overall rating of Superior. They worked very hard and it paid off on these projects!
Back from Feb 4th...Tommy showing off his climbing skills. This would be why Tommy has a new train bed at our new house...no pictures of it yet...SOON :) No more crib in 15 more days! Ahhhh, what a sad moment that will be! He has not made it out of his crib, only threatened while I'm in the room with him. He's a true Nance child and LOVES his crib. Each of the older kids had been caught climbing INTO it, never out. Tommy isn't allowed in the room much alone as he likes Kaitlyn's perfumes too much...otherwise I bet he'd have already climbed in too!

Kaitlyn's last piano lesson with Miss Freda!
Lastly....today!!! Kaitlyn got her new glasses. She's not seeing a big difference yet. We'll see how the next few days go. Her eyes aren't that bad and I'm wondering if the eye doc was jumping the gun with prescribing glasses now....I don't know?!!?!??
She loves her glasses and looks just adorable in them!

World Famous Lipazzaner Stallions!
Kaitlyn and I enjoyed a nice dinner out together before going to the show a couple weeks ago. Here are a few of our favorite shots we got before the camera battery died.
Mom (hating her glasses for one last week) and Kaitlyn...front row seats!

We're here....
We've just been busy getting ready for the move and life! Since my camera battery charger is lost, yes the battery is D-E-A-D- I haven't been able to get recent pictures loaded up! My camera has many neat pictures from Kaitlyn's birthday (I gave her the tickets on her birthday) Lipazanner show.
After a few attempts, Tommy decided the snow IS fun as long as Dad and kids aren't in the middle of a snow ball fight :) He had Kimberlyn prompting him off the steps too...
He figured out this snow could be fun for sure. It helped that it was a "warm" day and it wasn't feeling below zero like the previous days...the kids missed almost a week of school over this earlier this month!
Then Mom got her new eyes last week. Seeing 20/20 for the first time w/o glasses or contacts in 20-something years!
Ironically, last night at the kids' eye exams we learned Kaitlyn is needing glasses- you know where we'll be after school today :) Robby got his glasses in third grade too...must be the year for our kids?
Lastly....Kaitlyn has a thing for participating in school fundraisers. She especially gets motivated for the good cause type ones. Her school is in the top ten fundraising schools in our state. If you'd like to help her out...I've finally gotten her online fundrasing site up this morning.

Science Experiments....
So maybe our lil' chemist is on to something....trying to have his own science experiment...
Here we have Kaitlyn doing her's....testing the strength of paper towels.
And Robby doing something with magnetic stuff...I don't know. I'll have to have him help me explain it later.

SNOW SNOW SNOW SNOW
FOUR SNOW DAYS worth of snow...okay maybe not quite. We had a light layer of snow and got an inch or so of ice and then another say 5-6 or seven (no clue) inches of snow on top of the ice...and the neighborhood roads here are trashed and slick.
We spent the first snow day with friends at the movies....Hotel For Dogs ROCKS! And then a play date.
The next day we went to the post office and lunch...had to break up the day.
Yesterday we took the van in for an oil change and brought pizza home...have to keep it fun. Snow days are supposed to be fun right??
Now today it's lay low and skip going out to get milk, instead clean up puke and go to the doctor day :(
In the mist of all that the kids have had a blast going sledding (no pics believe it or not), shoveling snow and building creations in the snow.
Tommy is NOT into snow...not sure if being caught in snow ball fights between Dad and the kids has anything to do with the poor boy's feelings or not...I feel at 2 he can enjoy the snow from the windows...next year he best like it or up for adoption he will go, JUST KIDDING!

This time he was successful...
So as mentioned here before... Today Tommy succeeded in pouring a bottle of lotion into a BRAND NEW peroxide bottle! I had JUST taken the safety seal off an hour before to clean earrings!
He was at the top of the stairs "talking" and Kaitlyn went to see what he needed. He took her to my bathroom to show her his creation!
Our lil' Chemist...
This kid doesn't look too sick here does he?? He's had a nasty, snotty nose for about a week and a half. Only having a temp of like 99 to 99.8 or so...and now today at lunch time- PUKING! We're heading to see the doc in a bit! Ironically on the 20th he had his hearing checked and he was FINE....he woke up nasty the next day. BUT one of the test indicated his R ear's tube is clogged, even though it looks to be clear, it's not. So to rule out an infection here we go to the pediatrician today! He hasn't puked in over a year (since getting tubes)...and only has puked with ear infections ...praying for no infection today.

Reminiscing...
So I am making a favorite recipe tonight from a dear friend of mine, Glenda. Glenda passed away this past April, she was such a huge inspiration to me. I'm thankful I have a couple of her recipes to relive some of our special dinners together. I lived with her while Tommy was in the NICU. ANYHOW...I wrote these recipes in a journal that Glenda and Kaitlyn made me. I journaled everyday Tommy was in the NICU- after my vision started coming back.
So the recipe search brought me deep into the journal....here is my journal entry from Jan 3, 2007. I got a chuckle and wanted to share...

5:30pm visit, 9 days old
What a bad baby!! Which is a good sign. You pulled out your umbilical catheter and your feeding tube (twice) today! You are busy and fiesty-- we love it.
You eat 4mL's every three hours - will be 5 mL in the morning. You now have an IV in your head. You have a repeat ultrasound of your head tomorrow . I pray it shows the bleeding has resolved -- you are doing fabulous --we're so happy!
That is pretty darn hilarious stuff above?? I could have written the same post here recently...an IV in his head would be great punishment, right?? He pulls everything out of everywhere STILL! He still is doing fabulously and bonks his head enough some days from falling to warrant a head ultrasound to check for bleeding. He's eating a bit more these days... but everything else seems right on.
I STILL believe he's a "bad baby" and that it's a "good sign" and most of all we STILL LOVE IT!
This picture was taken the next day...I have no picture of him having an IV in his head. That's a last resort deal and I actually "thought" he never had a head IV...mental block I guess and I am thankful to not have a picture of it. He weighed 2 lbs 7ozs in this picture.
