Sorry for not posting on here...Okay so yesterday Tommy turned 4 months old (17 weeks 2 days) his adjusted age was 6 weeks old! He weighed in at 8lbs 2ozs and is 20.5 inches long. He's growing. Just when I think he's huge and close to the normal size of baby the same age as his adjusted age....well on the chart as a 6 week old, he's still teeny. He's in the 5th percent for weight and just under the 5th percent for height on the growth chart using his adjusted age.
I just heard the other day that preemies normally take a year to catch up to their gestational aged peers and take two years to catch up to their chronological aged peers. To us, Tommy is just perfect the way he is!
He's doing fabulous gaining just over an ounce a day. We are so thrilled for that. Since we should be moving SOON, I've stopped pumping and have started feeding him frozen breast milk with the HMF and alternating with the preemie formula.
Oh, you want to know where we're moving, well so do we. Seriously, we have it narrowed down to two places. Langley AFB, VA or Wright-Patterson, OH. We'd be thrilled for either. Long story, but we think we'll be going to Ohio and this is great since our long time friends. The Rogers are there. Robby started going to a Mom's Day Out program with Katie R. in Enid, OK and then continued on into preschool in Dover, DE with her. They had always been in class together until early in their Kindergarten year...they'd love to be in the same school for 4th Grade in the Fall. Now if we go to Virginia, I'll be slightly disappointed, but the beach is kind of like living near your best friend :) I sincerely pray we find out for sure where we'll move. Either way we'll move sometime in between Jun 15th and August 1st. More details on this to come...
Okay so the pictures...I'm going to upload a few. All of which are from Tommy turning 4 months old yesterday...and then below his big bro playing soccer on Monday night.

BREAKING NEWS!!!
In the past few days it as become very obvious that Tommy (16 1/2 wks old) has outgrown all of his preemie clothes!! He's wearing some smaller cut newborn and 0-3 months sized clothes. Today...I just tried on a sz 1 diaper...it actually fit, definitely has growing room, but it's not falling off! My guess at his current weight is ~7lbs 12ozs! He goes for a regular 4 month old well baby check up on Wednesday, yes he'll be four months old on Wednesday!! So, MAYBE he'll be 8lbs then! I'm still waiting on that adorable smile. He smiles as he's falling asleep and it's got to be the cutest smile ever!!
And now the promised crib pictures from last weekend!! (Tommy was 16wks old)
Checking out his new crib...

real quick....
Tommy got weighed yesterday....7lbs, 6ozs! That was 8ozs in 7 days! Perfect!
Yesterday was crazy...I decided after Kimberlyn went pee a ton Sunday and then woke with a fever yesterday that she may need to get her urine tested for a UTI. Sure enough she had floaters in her urine and the lab made us go directly to the doc...after some medicine, she's doing much better today. So, instead of a quick weigh in, we had a long morning at the clinic.
On Saturday, Larry and Kimberlyn set up Tommy's crib. Him using the living room for his 'bedroom' was getting old...this decision should also guarantee a move this summer. Anyhow, I'll post pictures soon...he's in Kaitlyn's room and she's so excited!!

Uh-oh!! It was bound to happen...
Here is how I found Tommy. I think he may be saying "HELP MOM!!!"
Tommy 15 weeks, 1 day old. Kimberlyn had gotten this in her Easter basket and was letting him try it out.
...then Kimberlyn had to pose after rearranging his tiara.

HAPPY EASTER!!!

Silly me, I totally forgot to scan this picture of the kids with the Easter Bunny from last weekend...This was on March 31, 2007, Tommy was 14 wks old weighing 6 lbs, 7 ozs.
I hope you all had a nice Easter. Tommy and I joined the Larry and the older kids to church, Larry's mom came along too. Then we came home to prepare our very belated Christmas dinner, I had the turkey from Thanksgiving! We ended up traveling over Thanksgiving and planned on using it for CHristmas Dinner...well, that didn't happen either :) At any rate, we had a wonderful Easter Day and enjoyed a classic Christmas Dinner...we even had the winter weather to compliment it! No joke, it was 39 degrees yesterday and we were at the carnival that came to town for the weekend...AND it was snowing! Okay, just flurries, but hello, we live in OKLAHOMA! Today was in the upper 30's again! NUT-SO!

Quick update...
Okay, so yesterday Tommy had some blood work done to just check everything. Turns out he is anemic. So, we are adding more iron, it seems the multivitiman with iron is not enough. He's back on HMF as the distrubitor donated another box...we were going to just supplement with preemie formula a couple times a day. Since they got another box, we'll use it. This is special order stuff that is about $1 a packet (100 packets in the box) when ordered! The HMF additive is not critical at this point, but definitely beneficial. They also donated a box of this new supplement that the mother takes to boost the nutrients in her breastmilk. So, now I'm on that...definitely can't hurt. There's not enough data to say IF it really helps or not. Naturally the company thinks it's great!
Today was Kaitlyn's oral book report...I won't go into details, but the video camera and I did not click today. (Larry just bought this camera RIGHT after Tommy was born. Hey, we thought we had another 11 1/2 weeks to 'shop'...) Thankfully I have a few pictures...

Grandpa's Visit and more pics
Tommy's new bed...okay for just a few days during Grandpa P's Visit. April 3, 2007 Tommy 14 weeks, 1 day old.
We had a nice, too short visit with my dad. The kids really enjoyed his stay and he enjoyed the kids. Didn't do too much as Larry's new job kind of has long hours...but it was nice to visit. He also got to watch the first few minutes of Robby's first soccer game of the season...bad mom forgot the camera. Come on, I brought Tommy's bottle...priorities!!! Robby's team tied 3 to 3. Not bad for the first game. We only stayed for a few minutes as the soccer feilds are terribly windy and I am under the impression that Tommy doesn't care for the wind :)
Whoa, Kimberlyn said she did this on her own...her name perfectly backwards!
Tommy's favorite security blanket...Kaitlyn's hair! 4-3-07 Tommy 14 weeks, 1 day old.
Grandpa and Robby saying goodbye.
Thomas admiring himself and his surroundings in his bed...so darn cute! This morning, 4-5-07. 14 weeks, 3 days old.
What a good big brother...Robby feeding Tommy his bottle tonight.
Emma (dog) seriously confused as to whom the baby really is....

Okay, okay, okay...here I am to update the blog!!
What a natural, Kaitlyn 'kangarooing' Tommy!! Kaitlyn did this all by herself trying to help comfort Tommy when he was fussing. This is how I held Tommy while he was in the NICU. 3-27-07 13 weeks 1 day old.
Oh, FYI did you know if click on the picture it will enlarge it....
Just as I'm thinking no need to update this blog as it appears nobody visits as there aren't many comments... I hear either in phone conversations, email or what have you that you do in fact read this blog! So...I'll try to do a better job at updating!
Today Tommy is 14 weeks old and doing great. At his weight check this am he weighed 6lbs 7 ozs. Due to the fact that there are still RSV (serious respitory virus) around here Tommy will be getting another RSV shot to help guard him. Doc wanted to add HMF to help Tommy gain closer to 1oz a day (he's gaining just 1/2 oz a day now) and I asked about just supplementing with special preemie formula. We MAY be taking another 'hop' on a C-5 in a few weeks and formula would be way easier to bring than frozen breastmilk! Tommy can breastfeed, but is much better at the bottle (imagine that) and my milk supply is dwindling away since him coming home...I am not able to pump as much as he takes in daily.
Tommy doesn't need another weight check until his RSV shot which will be in a week or two.
Oh, the latest on our Germany move! Or should I say on our Altus stay?!? The Germany assignment was not a good move for Larry's career...on Friday we got news that effective 6:00am this morning he was going to be a Wing Exec. working directly for the Base Commander. This is an awesome job for his career and we suspect it will keep us in Altus another year. We honestly have NO CLUE when or WHERE we will eventually move!
Well, onto the pictures...enjoy! Oh...why don't you leave a comment too :)
Here's Tommy on March 26 (13wks old) rolling over!!! He was waiting for his bottle to be warmed and not so happy. Larry was trying to distract him from his hunger pains and laid him on his tummy...he fussed and cried and finally rolled over to his back!! he did this three or four times! Ahh, how fun!!.jpg)
Please don't report us...isn't this the cutest. Again, I wish it weren't so blurry. Warlock was very interested in Tommy. 3-26-07 Tommy 13wks old
