Tommy
The new IV in Tommy's arm seems to be working out pretty well. Hopefully, this means no more IV sticks in the future!! He is also going up to 10 cc's of milk tonight, so that means his overall intake will be nearly 3 ounces. His weight is still hovering just below his birthweight.
The bad news is that they did another ultrasound Monday on his brain--it seems that the blood is still there, and they have upgraded the "seriousness" of the bleeding from a "Grade 1" level to a "Grade 3" level. I am not sure at this point if they think his brain is still bleeding or what--but Tricia reports the doctor is still not overly concerned at this point due to the fact that he is so active and nearly moblie scootching around in his incubator. We ask that you focus your prayers on his brain and that there be no damage done to it due to the blood and that the blood will go away quickly!! The Dr. told Tricia that we are not "out of the woods" yet, but that he was optimistic that the situation should clear up with no outside intervention.
Tricia's homecomming
Tricia will be comming home tomorrow. It seems like forever since she has left--for me and the kids! I can't wait to see her. I saw on the weather forescast that there is a good possiblility of an ice storm on late Friday night though Saturday. We are going to have to watch that closely to determine whether or not the kids and I will return to OKC on Friday afternoon with the intent of coming home on Saturday. The last thing this family needs is any more issues, and me getting stuck in a ditch somewhere with the kids--or worse--does not sound like a great time of fun to me!! If we do go, we'll probably take the Jeep as the Mustang just doesn't like slippery conditions very well.

I read the updates everyday sometimes several times a day. You are in my prayers all day. I pray that Tommy is going to be ok and will not have any of the problems my son has. His is not from birth but just the same a child that is special needs is still special needs in the end no matter how it happened. I would not wish for any child to go have to live life being MR or delayed. I do so hope that Trica is doing well also. This must be very draining time for your family, I can only imagine the pain and stress you are all in. It reallys sounds like you have a fab... support system. If there is anything that I can do please e me. You are all in my prayers.

I agree totally with the doctors; no way would Tommy be so active, so strong and able to tolerate consistent increases in feeding amounts otherwise. Clinical picture always "trumps" test results in assessing patient condition but Bless the good doctors for keeping excellent "watch" over your wonderful boy's condition!
I prayed for the Lord to specifically remove the blood off Tommy's brain and that the Lord will continue to show improvement in Tommy's physical condition. The PICC line is a great thing and I'm thankful he's gotten one. THANK YOU for the updates! The Glosser family
Congrats Tricia and ever so proud Daddy! It's Carole, Anna Pflieger's Mom...remember all the long drives I would take from Loveland, CO to OK (Altus and Enid)? So happy for you that your son is finally here. Our prayers and thoughts are with all of your family. I know God will continue his blessing with your family. We are having our 4th blizzard begin tonight. Down to 5 or 6 later tonight..right now is 18. Artic cold front makes it feel like 7 right now..more cold air moving in for the entire weekend...6+" snow due...fog, drizzle, ice and snow for tonight. Demo. Convention is going to be in Denver come Aug 08...who knows maybe it will snow on them, then. Hope you can drive home without our snow problems coming your way.
