Here are some shots I've been meaning to add...they fit well with the below post of him scaling the bird cage.
We have Tommy in the bunny's cage, he does this almost once every day...
Another shot from the other day -love him just hanging with his pants falling off. I promise he eats...those pants are just too big :)
Then on the 10th, the day after the cage scaling he decided it would be fun to join Warlock in the cage. He thought that was real cool and insisted on have the door closed. He has no fear, on the other hand he KNOWS Warlock is great and not going to care.

Visiting Ruby...
...in the blustery winter weather. It was super windy, snowing and freezing cold in the low 20's this afternoon when we arrived for a visit! Here are some pictures...
Walking to the barn....die-hard if I have ever seen die-hard ;)
Catching a quick bareback ride...too slick to do anything but walk! Love this half frozen smile Kaitlyn is sporting!
~~~~~Isn't she a cutie!!
Meet Ruby Rose...
So we closed on our house Dec 29th and now it's Jan 11th and we're horse owners!! Larry and I wanted to officially own the home before horse shopping... Totally a God thing. We expected horse-shopping to take MUCH longer and are very thankful it didn't. Ruby was the first horse we were able to look at. She sounded so good and then after requesting pictures we thought she looked great too.
We went to visit her yesterday during a winter weather warning, which was silly...roads and weather were fine- just COLD! Another family was supposed to come for a second look that afternoon, but had a bad rep of not showing. The seller wasn't too confident in their plans. We arrived at 1:30pm, she was expecting the others around 1pm, but hadn't heard from them. They called after we'd been there 30-40 minutes. She didn't answer her phone and said she'd wait for us to decide before calling the others back.
I'll fess up I felt BAD and guilty, then the seller told us they first saw Ruby 4 weeks ago, H-E-L-L-O, that's plenty of time to 1) come back and 2) decide if you wanted her.
So, after a test ride by Kaitlyn and her instructor's daughter we were confident she was meant for us.
Tonight we went to the barn to visit again, and brought her a blanket too. It fit her great and will come in handy when the high is just in the single digits later in the week!
Ruby Rose is an Appaloosa, she's 14.2hh and is about 15-16 years old. So far we've learned she really likes her food, we may have to call her Miss Piggy! We also learned tonigh, she is not phased by toddlers brushing and toodling around her...she is marvelous with the kids!
All boy..
Yep, sweetest thing I can say. This was Tommy this morning, he even cheesed it up after realizing his mama just took his picture, of course his mama also let him know this type of exercise was not appropriate in the house or on the bird's cage!
I told him no, I pulled him down trying to distract him with, oh, yes...TOYS! Finally after the fifth time I started swatting his rear...does nothing but infuriate me, why do I try this with him. I wish I could figure out WHAT will get through to him to make him listen and obey! By the way, we aren't spankers per se, but when all else fails and it's dangerous, we try it.
So after a stand off, I guarded the bird cage he got upset, bonked his head lightly on his train table then ran and crawled into Emma's bed -next to the bird's cage :)
He finally went up stairs, got his blankie out of his crib to snuggle, then came down with me and played NICELY for a few minutes before lunch. Lunch...that he didn't eat. All I can figure is 1) today is not an "eating" day...some days he doesn't fill up and out-eats his older siblings and mama too! or 2) he ate SO much for breakfast. He ate just a few bites of his baby cereal w/ prune juice. I offered him half of my bagel and a yogurt. Oh, yes, he loved it and ate until he almost popped! This is the second or third time he's refused or not eaten much of his baby cereal...I guess now the last thread of baby-anything, is gone :(
He is now in bed, snuggling his blankie and giving me a nice time to relax. I just adore him!
This is a shot of the younger two kid's bathroom in our new house. I think it's appropriate for our Monkey Boy, what do you think?
I apologize....
For worrying about Tommy's well being so much I can't snap pictures to prove to you how BAD this kid is.
If he were our first, he very well may have been an only child. And this thought is after having a very stubborn toddler girl before him...yes, Kaitlyn gave us a run for our money... And to think I thought SHE was bad?!!?
So, instead of grabbing my camera I swooped in and took the bottle away from Tommy, rushed him to the kitchen sink, held his head sideways and used my kitchen sprayer to squirt out the WATER CLARIFIER out of his mouth, from his reaction, I promise it's not tastey! That would have been a picture I TOO WOULD LIKE TO SEE!
Seriously, pray for me...and Tommy that he makes it to THREE....
TODAY, he'll soon have sparkling clear pee....so the bottle says...OH, FYI a swig of Top Fin Water Clarifier is safe and may only cause mild stomachache. It's bottle label claims it'll make the fish tank water sparkling clear...
Disclaimer...never knew we had this stuff, no idea where he found this stuff or where Larry was storing it...Tommy knew! Tommy knows everything...
Tommy is obviously getting past the opening and dumping stage as a few days ago he opened a perioxide bottle and then opened a tube of foot cream....tried to squeeze the cream into the perioxide?!?!?!? And today he's into drinking what he opens....Lord rescue me, please....
If you are wondering, I NOW fully understand why BOYS have such a bad rep of being HOLY TERRORS....YEP, I do understand. The coolest thing is I wouldn't trade this phase of motherhood for anything in the World, I'll just continue to be thankful I'm a stay at home mama, young, healthy and able to find HUMOR in all his tricks.
Trouble T...found more TROUBLE!!
I promise, we still love and adore him, how could we not when he is so absolutely ADORABLE like this with his brother??? Unfortunately these angelic moments are far and few between....
See we have many more moments like THIS...
THIS IS a crumpled up, EMPTY envelope from HIS very first haircut!!
THIS turned out LESS traumatic than his first haircut JUST 12 DAYS AGO!! Yes, if you know me at all, you probably KNOW I MUST have the hairs from my baby's first hair cut!
JUST yesterday and TODAY he's emptied out a travel size (thankfully ONLY travel sized this time) shower gel on the bathroom floor. FYI Bath & Body Works Moonlight Path scent doubles as a wonderful laundry scent too...the clothes that the clean-up towel was washed with SMELLED like the shower gel! Now Larry must understand why I stock up on Bath & Body Works sales...
He has emptied out the fish food for the umpteenth time.
He even tried his hand at DRAWING with toothpaste-gel in the hall that happens to be CARPET. It seems to have doubled nicely as carpet cleaner....
And I wonder why I feel like a nap so often?!?!?
